Tuesday, January 11, January 18, and January 25 at 6:00 PM Library Closed Monday, January 17 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday, February 21 Presidents Day Researchers and genealogists have access to the Reveille Echo newspaper online thanks to a donation from Amy Loucks Gallen in memory of her great-grandfather, Charles L. Merwin. The database of newspapers is made available through the Ohio Memory Project, a collaborative program of the Ohio History Collection and State Library of Ohio. Mr. Merwin who purchased and began publishing The Reveille Echo in 1905 went on to publish the Daily Leader in 1915. The Reveille Echo collection currently includes August 4, 1904-June 30, 1910, January 2, 1913 - March 25, 1915, and January 3, 1918 - April 6, 1922. Dog Man Saturday- Saturday, February 5 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Stop in the library for fun activities related to author Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man series any time between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Elf Scavenger Hunt Visit the library to find Elves hidden around the building. Participants who find all the elves will be entered in a random drawing for a prize! After you find the elves, you will receive a craft activity to take home. Children who are registered for this program receive one book a month until they turn five years old. OH WOW! Membership Pass Available with Your Library Card Patrons can borrow a membership pass to OH WOW! Science Center in Youngstown, Ohio for admission for four people. Complete details about the pass are available at the library. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten If you read three books a day to your child for one year, you will have read 1095 books to them. If you read one book a day over three years, you will have read 1095 books to them. It is easy to reach the 1000 books milestone. Register with the library, and start keeping track of your progress.

All Things British On the third Monday of the month, a group meets at the library to discuss all things British. The group discusses books, television series, culture, and more. Monday, December 20 at 1:00 PM The group will not meet in January and February due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. and Presidents Day holidays. Homebound Delivery The Friends of the Library deliver books, audiobooks, and magazines on the first Friday of the month to patrons who cannot visit the library. Together, we will determine the type of books you would like to receive, (mysteries, nonfiction, large print, etc.) and each month a number of books will be carefully selected for you. Mobile Hotspots Available With Your Library Card Patrons can borrow a mobile WiFi hotspot device from the library with their library card. A hotspot is a small wireless access point providing internet access to mobile devices such as your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. Hotspots are portable, so you can connect your device to the internet almost anywhere you are, at home, at the park, and more. The hotspot device works in any area covered by the T-Mobile network.
