YOUTH PROGRAMS AT THE EAST PALESTINE LIBRARY

Toddlertime for children ages 2 to 3 years old and their parent or caregiver is held each Monday morning at 10:30 a.m.   Registration is necessary.   Programs continue each week until Monday, April 26.

Preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5 is held on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.  Registration is necessary.   Programs continue each week until Tuesday, April 27.

Book Buddies is held on Mondays at 4:15 p.m. Children in Kindergarten to 4th grade are paired with older buddies in grades 5 and older to read together.   Fun activities and crafts are also offered.   Those who are in 5th grade or older who would like to help with this program are asked to register at the library.  Programs continue each week until Monday, April 26.

The next Pajama Storytime will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m.  The program will feature stories about spring.   Children are invited to wear their  pajamas and to bring a stuffed animal.   

Babytime for children ages 6 months to 2 years and their parent or caregiver will be held on Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m.  Parents or caregivers can participate in the sharing of books, rhymes, and songs with their baby.   Registration is necessary.

The next Junior Friends of the Library Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m.  If you are interested in helping prepare crafts for upcoming children's programs, please attend.   New members ages 10 to 18 are welcome to join.

"Read-alikes" are books or authors with similar subjects or styles.   In the past, we have featured a young adult author or book in the newsletter.   This year a particular type of book, author, or genre will be featured along with recommended titles to try.

Going on vacation?  The library is pleased to offer the Travel Tote for children.  Each tote has a theme and will contain 5 to 10 items.  When possible it will contain books, audiobooks, and books with read-along cassettes.  Totes can be borrowed for two weeks.  Contact the library to reserve your tote today!
